Introduction & Overview

CityWalk is home to the amazing indoor tropical rainforest Green Planet Dubai. This bio dôme contains more than 3,000 species of plants and animals from all over the world. Beautiful views of exotic flora and fauna can be seen through the four distinct layers of the rainforest: the forest floor through the canopy. Green Planet is the first glass bio-dome in the Middle East, and an immersive experience, where you can get up close to rare and fascinating species such as the bird-eating tarantula, hyacinth macaws, and nocturnal porcupines. An ideal resort for nature lovers, families, and anyone wanting to experience the marvels a rainforest can offer, without ever leaving Dubai.

Middle East’s First Glass Bio-Dome: The region’s first fully enclosed tropical rainforest, Green Planet replicates the biodiversity and vibrant ecosystem of a natural rain forest.

Rare and Exotic Species: See over 3,000 species of flora and fauna, including exotic creatures such as the bird eating tarantula, weaver ants, hyacinth macaws and the colourful toco toucan, with a bright orange beak.

Immersive Ecosystem Layers: Go through the rainforests four layers: the Forest Floor, the Mid-story, the Canopy, and the Flooded Rainforest. Different layers provide different views into the habitat of the world’s largest man made, life sustaining tree, a 35 metre tall tree.

Creatures of the Night: See nocturnal creatures and see how they behave at night, in a specially designed exhibit.

Educational Experience: Get to know the rainforest and the complex webs of its ecosystems as well as the massive contribution they make to the global biodiversity. Exhibits that are interactive allow you to see how humans impact these environments and how we can help keep them safe.

Green Planet Café: Enjoy cooling off in the rainforest themed café and choose your pastries, snacks and drinks while surrounded by lush greenery and exotic creatures.

  Prices are from AED 128 and there are discounts on some dates (up to 27 per cent off).

  

Opening Hours: Green Planet is typically open daily from 10:It is open from 00 AM to 7:00 PM, but it’s better to check up timings on your selected date as hours may vary.

Age Restrictions: Visitors aged 2 years and above are required to have tickets.

Prohibited Items: Without exception, outside food, beverages and large bags are not permitted into the attraction for visitors. 

Health & Safety: It’s suitable for all ages, including expectant mothers. While it can be humid in rainforest environment, dress for it and stay hydrated.

Photography: Flash photography and use of professional cameras are discouraged but visitors are encouraged to take photos.

Café: The Green Planet Cafe is a rainforest themed dining, that has both light meals, snacks or drinks on offer. It’s an opportunity to have your refreshment in a lovely setting.

Restrooms: Restrooms around the premises are clean and accessible.

Accessibility: All of the visitors can enjoy the experience, The Green Planet is wheelchair accessible. Fees are available to fund wheelchairs on site if necessary.

Gift Shop: The gift shop sells souvenirs and nature themed things. As a keepsake from your trip to the rainforest, they can take home a piece with them.

Guided Tours: You get expert guides to help you enjoy the experience more. The tours add to your experience as these tours give you more of the ideas of the ecosystem and the species in Green Planet.

Air Conditioning: Green Planet was air conditioned despite the rainforest environment and it is fully air conditioned, even in Dubai’s hot weather.
